Join us for some fun in the snow! Can’t make it to the snow this holiday season? That’s ok! We’re bringing the snow to Hawthorne!
We’re bringing in a REAL snow making machine for the kids to enjoy. How much snow? TEN TONS of snow! So mark your calendars and get ready to have some fun in the snow with your family.
We’re opening early – 10am sharp to allow for more fun times. Your kids can play in the snow until sundown, about 5pm. Snow Day is free but we ask for an optional and small donation benefiting our neighbors, Mychal’s Learning Place. 100% of donations go to Mychal’s Learning Center.
What is Mychal’s Learning Place? Simply put, it’s a non-profit organization located right down the street that helps adults with disabilities be challenged with opportunities that build self-esteem and independence. Mychal’s helps adults with disabilities learn necessary life skills such as banking, grocery shopping, maintaining a job, and much much more. SNOW! This event is free to attend but we suggest a small (and optional) donation for your children to play in the snow. 100% of all donations go towards Mychal’s Learning Place.
GOODIES! Mychal’s has a commercial kitchen and they will be selling their baked goods, hot chocolate, coffee, and more.
PHOTOS WITH SANTA! 12-2pm. We’re hosting Santa for the kids to get their photo taken. Bring your cameras or phones and snap away!
MUSIC at 1pm! Mychal’s also helps adult with disabilities learn different art forms – such as music. They will be performing live Christmas carols and sound tracks from your favorite lion-themed movie.
SHOP! We’re bringing a variety of local vendors to finalize your holiday shopping needs. Great gift ideas for stocking stuffers and gift exchanges. These are some of the vendors:
SNOW GLOBE CRAFTS! 11am - 12pm. A $10 donation to Mychal’s gets you all you need to create your own snow globe. Perfect activity for kids after a long day of playing in the snow.
